I recently discovered Andre Miripolsky when I was browsing through 1stdibs.com for some art to put over the bed. When my eyes focused upon this one pastel piece of an Incan figure-I knew I had to have it. So bright and playful-it was the perfect piece for my master bedroom.
Miripolsky has art running though this veins as his father was also an artist and cultural advisor for the American Foreign Service. Miriposky’s career as an artist began with Elton John’s piano jacket (1980). Other than the Inca figure in pastel, I adore this pop artist’s LA Shark series
More recently, Miripolsky has turned his attention to projects that promote the revitalization of Los Angeles, including a large 3-D wall sculpture depicting his vision of the exploding Downtown LA skyline for the Central City Association of LA.
