Shades of Rosé: the Spring “it” color

Shades of Rosé: the Spring “it” color
Cuyana Silk Cami $135

As February approaches, I’ve  been dreaming of what colors to incorporate into my Spring wardrobe, and one set of shades stands above the rest.  From mauve to dusty rose to blush, I predict these colors are going to be big for Spring 2018. These shades look great on all different types of materials from silks to knitwear and pair well with white/ivory/beige or with similar colors for a monochromatic look. They also look best with a tan.  Don’t have one?…then add some bronzer to your look so you don’t look washed out.

Alexander McQueen Blush Dress

One of my favorite little tops in deep rose is from Cuyana, a brand in San Francisco whose motto is “fewer, better things.” This top is an absolute wardrobe staple and can be worn in the office with a cardigan and later out-and-about (sans cardigan) for a flirty, sexy look.  Their tops generally run large so you will want to get the next size down. As a bonus, it’s made in the US of A!

Alexander McQueen has also come out with a series of blush dresses through the years.  I was lucky enough to nab one at one of my favorite thrift shops, Reddz Trading, similar to the one pictured in this post.  With a color that’s fit for a duchess, it’s no wonder Kate Middleton has been spotted at multiple events wearing Alexander McQueen in blush.
